How difficult to install headers on 97 LT1
Camaro? Less, more or same as LS1? What would a average price for installation also?

Re: How difficult to install headers on 97 LT1
Depends for shorties pain in the ***, for midlengths a little easier and long tubes easiest...but still a lot harder than an ls1. I have a 97 Z and it took me 6 hours by myself to take off manifolds and install my shorties an o/r ypipe.

Re: How difficult to install headers on 97 LT1
fairly easy really, just time consuming. easiest way to go about it is to first yank off the alternator and the starter(tons more room to move things around once those two things are off) on the passenger side and I also noticed that by removing the steering column you get TONS more room to install the drivers side headers. the steering column really only needs to be disconnected from the bottom but even more room can be had if taken off all together. One bolt at the top of the steering column and one at the bottom. once you have those off(if you decide to take them off), make sure you disconnect both O2 sensors and the temperature sensor on the drivers side between cylinders 1 and 3 about 3-4 inches down. I always manage to forget to disconect it and somehow bust it off. While you have the headers off, it would be a good time to change the plugs and plug wires.....super easy to do with all the junk outta the way <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> hope this helps some
