Default what is needed to get rid of the opti?

Can you totally ditch the opti and run a reg. dist.? Somehow drill a hole in the right spot for one? And does a stock cam have a dist. gear on it? Is it even possible?

I haven't seen anyone do it that hasn't switched a single plane manifold (that has the provision for the hole)..... You could eliminate the dowel pin in the front of the cam that drives the opti.... but i'm thinking you'd have to swap to a single plane before you ever attempted it..... i'd have to take a look at an LT1 manifold again before I 100% confirm it though.....
