Default Fluid Danmpener

Does anyone know the difference between the lt1 and the lt4 fluid dampener? Can a lt1 dampener (factory or aftermarket) be used on a lt4 without any problems? GM wants over $400 for the lt4 . I can get a aftermarket one for a lt1 for 1/4 of that price.

Didn't know GM sells fluidamper, maybe you mean harmonic damper? The difference between the LT1 and LT4 must be the hub length, as the LT4 is disigned for the vettes. BTW why do you need an LT4 specific damper?

I hadn't found a Fluidampr for less than $369.00, it their part number 740101. It's the only one for the LT engines. Crankshaft Depot is selling a "Fluid Damper" for $119.00 but it's obviously not a genuine Fluidampr. I've recently ordered the real McCoy from Summit, hopefully, I'll have a chance to install it next week.
