Default Mahle Pistons

I have mahle pistons and rings what is the biggest shot i could do. The rings are gapped for nitrous. And the crank and rods are forged callies and compstar with 4 bolt mains. It is a 12:1 383 that is built great. i put down 434 rwhp on stock heads and a smaller cam.

Don't see why you couldn't run a 200 shot all day.

Why don't you call the piston manufacturer and ask them? We'd all just be speculating.

Don't know if it was the same exact piston, but a buddy of mine used mahle pistons in a LS1 engine and he said they reccomended nothing more than a 200-250 Which generally means you have a small window to go a little bigger but not much. Like if somethings rated at 500lbs tq, then it will probably hold 550 or so.
Just my $.02

That's called the Factor of Safety. FS is used all the time in engineering, but you usually don't want to exceed it. Let us know what Mahle says about it.
