Default Will a cc503 cam take my gas mileage away?

I am debating over the lt4 hotcam or the cc503 cam. I am mainly worried about gas mileage. Will the cc503 ruin my gas mileage?

Not only will it take away your gas mileage it will also come in your house and disrespect you in front of your family.

How the hell do you get 16mpg? Try taking the lead out of your shoe, that will increase your mileage...

So anyone have an answer to my question?

cams kill gas mileage. i think the larger cam will use more gas. and 15 mpg is horrible for an LT1 to begin with, i thought they got in the low-mid 20's from the factory. but what mpg r u getting now with your mods?

Can you afford it? I say do it, and pay for a little more gas. Your not into this for the economy of the vehicle right? I would also check into your already shitty gas mileage

true, everybody says 'get a honda if ur worried about gas'. however if u ever go for a ride in my dads 75 monza with a 327 and ur paying for the 5 mpg, u realize how fast the gas milage can ruin ur fun. the whole time your driving your thinking about the gas and money, it can really put a damper on it. but like i said, its ur decision, and i doubt it will drop it below 10 mpg

I get the same shitty gas mileage. What could be the cause? Bad O2 sensors? I know I need new plugs and wires, plus I imagine a mail order tune wouldn't hurt?

If you can afford $1500 for a cam but you cant afford the extra $100 a year in gas you shouldn't be modding your car.
