Default A little help please

I've done a search on google and on here and can't find out what I want. Does anyone know which spark plug wires for our cars have the least amount of restriction or know where i could find out? Thanks.

All I know is the MSD wires have 40-50 ohms of resistance. No one else seems to tell.

My Taylor Spiro-Pros ohmed out ~400-600 ohms, depending on length. You do realize that just because it has the lowest resistance, it doesn't mean it's the best wire. The MSD's are some of the lowest resistance wires you'll find.

I'd go with Taylor's first, then MSD's second.

Hey Nate81Camaro, I see you also got a second gen!!! I have a 1975 camaro, I used to hang out a lot at nastyz28.com, I stopped a little when they did the switch on the look of the website, anyway, I'm just glad to see one more second gen owner here beside me. I see you have a good set up with that 355, what are you running on the 1/4? I am in the process of building my second engine for the '75, was just wondering on well is your combo doing... by the way, I got a little off topic, but I would go with MSD wires.

That's why I said the lowest resistance wires aren't always the best. I run Taylors.

Hey buddy. I hang out a nastyz28 alot (same sn there). From what I gather, I should be pushing around 290-300 hp at the fly, and be close to 380ish tq. I have 2.56's in the rear, but I was told I should run mid to high 14's, and when I get 3.73's and different heads I should be in the mid to high 13's. (haven't ran it yet). When my car is running (and not blowing tranny lines, or master cyl's) it runs good. Understand, I went from a 267 that had a baby cam, intake, headers, and a carb to my 355. My 355 is putting alot more at the wheels than my 267 put out at the fly - yeah, it was horrible (rated at 120ish hp and torque ) I could've put a bone stock 350 in it and it would've been a huge improvement.
So you got a big bumper'd 75 - I love 2nd gens! Feel free to pm me if you have any questions, or better yet, jump back on nastyz28 - they know loads more than me!

Will do buddy, I'll get back to nastyz28.com to gather some information in building a 383 for my 1975. By the way, thanks for the reply.

I'm also a NastyZ28.com member. I still check in over there pretty often, even though I haven't had a 2nd gen in almost three years.

Back on topic. You might try looking up the customer service number for the plug wire companies that you are interested in and give them a call. They should be able to provide the info that you need.

you won't find anything with better resistance than granatelli if i spelled that right. But they are pricey- $157.00 for a set but they almost guarantee a 10hp difference. I'm going to try them on my 396 when i get the heads back from AFR.
