that's a pretty good start Sure you want to put that kinda money into it though? i'm in the same spot but i'm lookin' to get a house soon. I could drop 4-5K/ month in my Z if i needed too. lol I'm self employed and make good $$$ too. i'd say do that and maybe have your motor built or boosted. Might as well spend it or save to buy some big stuff for it~Cole~

i damn sure plan on keeping mine forever. cars depreciate in value, so if you plan on trying to sell the car and recoup your losses then dont spend money on your car. but if you want to go fast and you can afford a certain amount, then do it.
thats why you get an LT1 car, build it up how you like. and maintain it. they are going to be classics for sure. someday waaayyy on down the line when im old, i will probably want to restore mine to original condition.
oh and you can modify your stock hood to fit an LS1 lid conversion.

The guy above me is right. Pouring 1,000 a month into 1994 Z28 is not a good idea. You could just pour that money into capital appreciation stock and make 13% return on your money every year, and then go buy a damn Ferrari in 10 years thanks to compound interest.
