Default Jet Hot long tubes

i think i want Jet Hot LT's. anyone have them. they seem to be pretty good. question tho, is jet hot just the coating they put on them? or does jet hot actually fab their own headers and coat them. or are they just pacesetter long tubes with a jet hot coating on them? the Jet Hot LTs are $500 at the WS6Store. is this the best place to get them?

thanks

Jet hots are their own headers. At least they were couple years ago when I was in the market for headers.

I have Jet Hot LT's on my '94. To my knowledge they are very similar, if not identical to Hooker LT's. (At least for LT1 cars).

$500 is a good price. Think I paid a little more and that was about 2.5 years ago.

Don't forget that Jet Hot allows you to receive one free re-coat in the first 3 years after purchase. You just pay shipping.

I just installed some Jet hots on my girlfriends 96 and they are Hooker with the Jet Hot coating. Jet Hot stoped making they're own a while back.

They are good headers. I have some Jet Hot Hooker long tubes on my LS1 and they sound awesome and still look brand new, a year later.

Ya the x will give you a little more power. I went with a 3" true dual system with the x pipe and some of the twister mufflers. It sounds awesome.

Get the JetHots for 500...I had them on my 95 and they were great. Not too bad to install and made a nice improvement on the butt dyno.

I used hooker long tubes on my car on the last setup that were not jet hot coated....

DEFINITELY get the ones that are coated.... my headers looked like **** after two heat cycles..... and caused other parts on the motor to start corroding from the rusty dust that comes off them.... things like bolts and stuff started getting spotty rust on them.....

the coating definitely will stop that.. and jet hot is the ****.. you can actually get jet hot 2000 that comes in other colors like blue and black...... designed for temps up to 2000 deg F...... good for nitrous and FI cars...

well thanks everyone for your input and helping me make a desicion. i bought the jet hot long tubes (off road) and o2 extensions for $532 shipped. then i called summit and got the universal 3" x pipe kit and hooker max flows and 4" tips. so im pretty excited. i already had pacesetters and a blowmaster and i just knew that wasn't going to let my 383 breath properly. i especially didn't like the collector on the mids. and i just dropped $225 on the mids to get them coated. they haven't even been ran yet. i will post them up in the for sale section. installation shouldn't be a problem considering they have the motor out on an engine stand and the cradle is just chillin under the car waiting for the 383 to get sat in.

Good news. Glad we were able to help. I'm a fan of the Jet Hot "Sterling" coating. They coat the headers inside and out, so the "Sterling" compound makes the heat go out your tailpipes, not radiate into the engine bay.

Like OutlawZ said, I will never buy uncoated headers ever again.

Uh, well none of them are my DD right now. My wife drives the '00 B4C and I drive my Silverado HD to work and back most days. The '99 BBM car was basically a daily for about 2.5 years, but it's in really nice shape and a really rare color, so I put it up last year when I got the Silverado. It's stored in a friends shop with 56K on the ticker. The '94 is my primary track car and the '01 SS and '02 Z28 are garage queens that only come out on weekends when the weather is perfect. I used to occasionally drive them to work when there was 0% chance of rain, and want to get back into that habit.

I was in the '01 SS, goofing around the other night with a buddy in a cammed '01 TA and I missed a shift. I said ****! I'm getting rusty on my gear banging!
