Default whats wrong with my car?

ya ive never heard or seen anything like this....when the car is cold its making a high pitch squeal when you rev it up...then once it warms up it starts runnin like **** and will only rev up to 3000 rpm's no more, but the squealing goes away, not missing or backfiring or anything just running like ****....its really hard to describe what its doing since ive never ran into something like this.

o by the way i drive a 94, z28 a4 bone stock.

My bet is on a bad alternator. Does it start hard? Voltage low?

ok...replaced the alternator..didnt fix it. unhooked to Maf to try to get it to go into limp mode and see if that would make it run right and it just made it worse..but i think i tracked down that horrid squealing, and it sounds like its coming from the vaccuum stuff on the back of the intake. what is that back there????

The only thing on the back of the Engine that is goin to the Intake is the EGR crap..if you hear a whistle then the EGR Valve might be busted, or there is a leak back there somewhere.
As far as the O2's go.. when those 2 wires melted together, could it possibly have shorted something out in the Computer?

the squeal is most likely the accessory belt

Electrical or fuel is the cause of the running conditions you decribed

Change the Fuel Filter for a start, then check/measure your opti and Coil
