Default Digital 6 mounting

Ok so yesterday I picked up my MSD Digital 6 box and am confident on how to wire it up. The only things thats stopping me from wiring it up is I have NO idea where to mount it. There's basically no room under the hood, or atleast I dont think there is. So I was wondering where you have yours mounted.

Most have them mounted behind the fuse box that I have seen (just below the fuel lines). I have also seen them in the battery tray with the located battery. I had one friend who lengthened the wires and installed it inside the car!

I have mine mounted in the glove box. I ran the wires through the fire wall behind the computer and ran the heavy positive and heavy ground to the positive and negative block by the power steering resivoir and run the other wires around behind the engine in some wiring loom I bought from advance auto parts. Mount it straight upward all the way to the left. I just ran two screws through the top to hold it in place.

I was thinkin about mounting it there but the instructions that come with it recommended not mounting it in there so I wasn't sure. And I already have my MSD Digital Window Switch mounted in there...But I can always move that if need be

I really think mounting the box inside the car is really cool but I am too lazy for all that work. I think the reason mounting it under the hood rather than inside the car is because of heat. Not to the box but to yourself. My buddy that mounted it inside mounted it on the tunnel on the pass side of the console. It really generates a lot of heat so you better watch your legs when riding over there!

Mounted my crane behind the air dam. I'm lowered too and not clearance problems either.

Mine is mounted right above the fuse box, just made the fuel lines curve a little bit sooner.

if you get a rear battery install kit you'll have plenty of room... you can use the front framerail where the battery used to be.....

I'd show you where mine is but under my hood is basically engine and nothing else. No heater box, no ps resevoir, rear mount batt, no abs block, no CAI.... so my pics wouldn't help you.... i'd say go near the fuse box if all else fails and you don't want to move your battery...

I have 4 holes, and some RTV RIGHT there. I assume the first own (not who I bought it from) had one there, but didn't use the 4 rubber shock mounts, and used the RTV as just that. Smart if you ask me. Anyways that's probably the best spot.

I mounted my MSD Digital 6 originally in this position, but now I have the MSD DIS4 with the DELTEQ setup.

Mine is mounted to the core/radiator support just behind the left headlight. Its mounted where the face of the MSD box(flat side with stickers) is facing my fusebox. Looks good there, actually mounted my MSD coil next to it.
