Default what do you guys think of these

http://rksport.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=381

i may be tradin some stuff for these. I know it says 93-95 but will they work on a 97 z28? I need a set of headers in a bad way and I figure I can do these for now until I can get a set of LT's. Cars basically stock, wanna eventually do full exhaust. replacin with a set of forged dome top pistons *lifted ring lands on #2 and #3 cylinders.* Thanks for the help.

Well, they sure look nice, and I'll be happy to store them on my car after you're done with them lol The Y-Pip alone is $350 :S

I really doubt that they'd mis-list what application it's for. BUT It might just be a small stupid thing like the EGR setup, which with a little work, or blocking off, will render them usable on your 97.

1 3/4 Mids are pretty beasty headers.

For a bolt on/cam only car, I think they are a great choice.
I might consider them but I'm not too sure about thier ceramic coating, and $600 is about $150 too much IMO.

Email 'RK Sport' and see that they say about fitment.

If you plan to do LTs, just wait and do LTs, those are pricey, better off using that money towards LTs if thats what you want to do eventually. Lot of people get shorties then sell them and go LTs, big waste of money.

well like I said, im not paying for these. Im getting them off a trade probably. So im not spending a dime on them. so if i can at least get rid of the the stock manifolds im happy with it. plus if it will help easy a tune up a bit them im really happy with it.

I have these on my 95, they fit great and are a quality header. I think the difference is they are designed for a single cat and your 97 has 2 cats, so you would lose your cats with them.

im not worried about that. Luckily my state doesnt do inspections so its not a big deal. Plus I was thinking of doing true duals anyways.

i had them on my car when i bought it. Took them off and sold um for LTs. BUT they are a real nice quality piece. A lot better then my pacesetter LTs! Header flanges are super thick and have a nice sealing lip on um. But for the money and trouble id just put on LTs with the offroad y-pipe and call it a day. Its a lot of work to just put something "good enough" in IMO. But all in all a good quality piece.
