Default this seems weird...

hey guys, i've posted about this a few times and haven't really come up with a concrete solution. my car has been having a problem since the computer tune with not shifting until 6500rpms and hitting off the rev limiter twice during the 2nd to 3rd shift. the guy who installed the program said he didn't touch the shift points at all and he had also had the same problem with a couple of his other cars. however i found out today that when he gutted the cats it completely solved the problem. on his way to gut the cats the car would still wrap up too high, but after the gutting on his way home the car shifted like it was supposed to and he wasn't hitting off the rev limiter. the problem was gone forever... anyone have any ideas as to why? cuz i'm about to try it because it would be cheaper than getting a new program. thanks in advance.

Did you ever have them adjusted for 3.73 gears? They should be changed for those since the shifts won't occur at the same MPH as stock anymore.

doesn't really make sense as to why the cat's would solve a shifting problem. but you don't REALLY need the cats anyway, do you?

I'd saw the sumbitch's off and see what happens...

Run that Sum Bitch open Headers..

When ever you change Gears, you always adjust the Shift Points..sounds like a half-assed job..
