Default Cam profile advice.

OK so I am building another motor for my car and I have listened to MANY sound clips of LT1 cars with MANY different cams rangin from the 503 (which I currently am running) to the 847 and on up to the LE1,2,and 3 and also one AI setup. My problem is NONE of them are even closely lopey enough for my likings. Call me old school but I like the lopey, keep your foot on the gas to keep it running cams.

My question is is there any tips, hints, info, or advice you could give me to help me get a cam of that profile?

My new motor will be a forged 357 with P&Ped TFS 195 heads and a ported intake mani with 58mm TB. The CR on it will be ~11.1:1.

Thanks in advance.

Unplug a plug wire if you want it to lope more. You should be buying a cam based on how it performes not sounds.

The overspread LSA of the XFI CRAP is not the way to get more lope.

If you are foolish enough to be blindly looking for lope maybe talk the tuner into screwing up the idle timing and set the idle low.

I agree You should buy based on performance, but if you want it to chop get a cam with a tight LSA.

I am not looking for JUST lope, it has to perform good also. I should have added that to the first post.

I just wnat the car to sound cammed unlike now with my 503 you cant tell its cammed unless you have a trained ear. Same thing with most of the cams for these cars.

Put some true duals on your car then. 13 degrees of overlap @ .050

This video doesn't do the sound justice. It's alot louder/deeper in person.

Sounds like a custom grind is what you need to go with.
