Default 94 vette vs 96 ram air TA

I am in the market for a new car. I have found two cars that really stand out that are within my price range. The first is a beautiful Admiral Blue 1994 Corvette. It has 102,000 miles, but it looks brand new. My only problems with it are it is an automatic and it is a little more expensive than the TA. The other car is a white 1996 ram air trans am. It is a 6 speed which is very important, but it has 143,000 miles. It is very clean looking as well though. Besides the high miles, the biggest problem is that I hate white cars. It looks alright on this TA, and I know I can change it, but it would be a hassle. On the same note, blue is not a very versatile color.

I have to ask now, which one is faster? I know the vette is better in the corners. How well will they respond to mods? What are some other ups and downs I may not be seeing here? Which one would you pick?

Thanks a lot for any advice.

Non-vented opti in the 94. It is not as reliable. However the Vette will hold it's value more, even though it is an A4. LT1 Ram Air T/As are rare. Its a toss-up. Good luck and have fun with either choice.

Be patient....Wait until you get exactly what you want... dont settle for an automatic if you really want a stick.

I agree on the being patient, but I am biased, I say get the T/A, the LT1 WS6s are hard to come by nowadays and are by virtue more rare than the LS1s because there are so many LS1 WS6s out there,

good luck either way

C4 Vettes are bad (as in awesome), though I have to subtract major cool points for the A4

I would normally say the Trans Am...but 143,000 miles puts me on edge, especially if I wasn't the one to put them on there. I'd say go with the vette if you're not going to do a rebuild right away.

Most guys that own vettes baby them. Plus, the vette uses synthetic oil. Dont know if the owner followed that, but its more than likley. The t/a and the vette would be a close race. The vette has 2.59 gears and a 1500 stall stock.Although, the vette does have the 'cool factor' and handles like its on rails. Get the vette. Then get rid of the 2.59s!
