Default Started the car up for the first time in 3 months...

i've been at college for the past few months without the car. So i came home today for fall break. started betty up, and MAN i miss the car... but i realize. whenever im driving, the hotcam really reminds me of the "exhaust leak" sound (like a lawn mower). but i know this isnt possible cause my exhaust is fully welded and the header bolts are tight.

might be a sticky lifter on its way out. I always get a PVC pipe and put my ear to it and try and pinpoint the ticking

That being said, maybe it will go away. I think one of the hardest things to get used to is roller rocker noise. Also I have noticed a ton of "lifter ticking" threads. Maybe everyone is just over-imaginative.

Yeah I know what you mean. I had Cranes and had gotten used to them and then switched to a set of NSA Scorpions. I must have gotten them a little loose and was really bothered by the sound--so much that I posted in the forum. Finally after convincing myself they just needed tightening, I just went back over them and then the sound went back down to what the Cranes were. Still noisy, but you just get used to it.
