Dual cutouts vs. Single cutout
Hello everybody. Is there any benefit of running dual cutouts before the ORY as opposed to running one after the ORY? Also is there any difference in the sound?( maybe a stupid question) .... Any ways any info added is appreciated thanks.

There is a major sound diff, the cut out will be under your legs and techincally infront of you, as opposed to being under the rear seats and behind.
If its a street car get a cut out, single, put it just past the door going toward the rear of the car and a elec. plate like the one from QTP.

Well, i can tell a difference on my 89 camaro, the top end pulls harder with both open, i went with manual cutouts due to it being 250$ cheaper. I like my setup like this, not many have the duals. When i dyno the car i will deffinately do a before and after with the cutouts and be posting to let everyone know. This has been a question for allot of people.

Well I just put on a single E cutout on my LTs, ORY, hooker catback car. My old exhaust was dumps and some bullets and dumps right off the header.
I prefer the new sound over the old dumps I think its from both banks leaving one exit, cant comment on power though the car has seen a few mods since the dumps

Not quite what you are looking for as I have catalytics as well, but I put down 453.7hp & 443.4tq with exhaust open 445.4hp & 425.5tq with exhaust closed. Dumps are right after headers, then dual cats into dual exhaust.
I've seen several cars on the dyno with a cutout before the muffler that haven't made a power difference. On cars with a catback anyways...I used to get about 30hp by opening up a single dump before the factory muffler.

Dual cut-outs on the Y pipe make your car sound like it belongs in a destruction derby.
I've got an electric cutout about a foot before the axle. Plenty of space right there. Also you can run the wire through the drain plug that's in the bottom of the back seat.
