Default Coolant level sensor question

Apparently the coolant level sensor area is leaking and im wondering if there is some way to seal it... short of getting a new sensor? Does the sensor have an o-ring.. maybe one that i could replace with a generic piece. its not a huge leak but its annoying. any ideas?

yes they do have o rings, two of them. You might want to check the wire clip that holds it in, Its a squarish clip that just holds it against the radiator. Mine came loose and blew out my coolant when I overheated. Dont use thread sealer theyre are NO threads to seal and you could damage the O rings. Also If the sensor is still good I would just try and replace the Orings and or clip. If you have to go new you can find one around 50$ at your local Auto parts store.
