Default '97 into '94 4L60e (Codes as well)

Does anybody know if someone has found a way to now make this work? My 94 z is ready for the street but the person before me put a 97 tranny into a 94 setup and from what I have researched that won't work and can becausing my problems.

The speedo is WAY off.I might be going 20 but it shows like 70mph. Also it feels like the car is starting in 2nd or 3rd gear instead of 1st of course.

Here is a list of codes I have as well:

53 for high system voltage

59 for tranny fluid temp sensor circuit high - low temp

81 for QDM or shift B solenoid fault

Thanks!

Are you sure you aren't thinking of a 93 not working right and causing problems? 93 uses a 700R4, while 94-02 all use 4L60Es for auto cars. I could be wrong but I dont know why any 4L60E wouldn't work just fine.

The 4L60E's were pretty much all different between year models.

94 was different from 95 due to some internal changes.

And 96-97 were quite different because of the switch to OBD2.

You will have to take it out, I have done what you did and mine works. The wiring harness in the trans and solenoids are different.

Oh ok, well that sucks.

So I will do what I didn't want which is remove the 97 tranny and install a 94.

Well, how much would the 97 tranny go for since I will just have to sell it? It's a new transmission from the chevy house here.

Ok never mind then. I guess I have a lot to learn about the autos. I thought a 4L60E was a 4L60E.
