Default Big NA cam with boost? 242 / 248, .584 / .579 113 LSA

I have this cam already. I'm about to boost my car. Shooting for 10lbs with meth injection. I don't know anything about blower cams other than the duration always seams to be smaller and I hear bigger duration lets the boost "bleed off" Is my cam way to big? Will it work at all or should I tear apart my motor now and sell it and just get a custom ground cam. I

I love this cam in my car NA though. 383 with stock heads and I was shifting at 6900. I would love to keep my power curve up high like it is now with the Turbos.

What you guys think?

Blower/turbo cams run a smaller duration and a wider lsa. Usually 114 or better. Youll still make power up top with the turbos even with the smaller blower/turbo cam.

That's not exactly correct. I have the same ca but on a 114 i'm boosted, and it makes good power and good boost. however I'm running a D-1SC and if i understand it correctly that centrafugal blowers like bigger dur. so you might be in a different boat with the turbo.

It would work but will prolly bleed off to much boost pressure. It would still make power but would not be making what it could. Being that yours is on a 114 helps. I see alot of turbo cams are on a 115 lsa. Doesnt have the insane idle but makes for a longer/broader power range.

I believe you missed the humor in what I said. It was not complete seriousness.

113 LSA is a compromise anyway, it is not an "NA" cam as it is. It won't be as ideal as a custom blower grind, and is a bit on the large side, but it should still make tons of power
