they arent cheap at all...but they will handle serious power. for the money..you'd probably be better off going to a 383. parts cost wouldnt be a whole lot different. just my $.02

I would say if money wasn't an issue a 383 or 396 or hell a 409 LT1 would be in the works for a little more money.
As far as parts....Either a Callies or Lunati rotating assembly
srp, JE, Diamond, and wieseco pistons
Rods....Eagle, Manley, Scat, Lunati, Oliver, Etc...
Ported AFR Heads
Nice Cam to match
As well as a car thats properly setup to hold the power from the engine.... MY .02
