Default Fuel Injectors

I searched and couldn't find this so thats why i started a new thread. I'm building a 396 right now and am looking for fuel injectors. The dealership my dad works at can get Ford racing parts at a discount so i figured that i would price some injectors from them. Does any one know the part number for ford racing's 36 and 42's? I'm sort of leaning toward the 42's, but not really sure. I'm going to be running nitrous later on, but it will be a wet kit. Any suggestions on wether to get the 36'ers or the 42's? thanks

396 with what? Stock heads and stock cam? How much nitrous? Brand new 42# ford injectors i believe are somewhere in the 500 dollar mark.

Yes it has stock heads, but they are ported and polished. I'm at college right now and don't have the flow numbers with me right now. The cams is either a CC280XFI (07-467-8) or something VERY similar to that. The nitrous will be a wet kit, but the max that i am planning on spraying would probably be a 200 shot. Like i said i think i can get a pretty good discount on them, probably somewhere around 15% over the dealerships cost. Are there any other recommendations to a size or brand of injectors?

Try the injector duty cycle calculator, it might help you figure out what size you need.

Ok, thanks for the link. I have no clue what this engine is going to make for horsepower though. But i think i'll go with the 42s and see how it goes. Thanks for the help! Anyone else have any opinions? How about a part number for Ford's 42's???
