i found a ss out of a 97 ss. the guy has another motor with headers on it that he will sell for the same price. but i would like to get the one out of the ss if it is better. i will probably be doing the cc503 cam or the lt4 hotcam kit. the car will be a nitrous car in a 67 camaro. i am hoping for mid-low 12's on motor (any suggestions?). here are a couple pics of the car it will be going in. thanks in advance for the help.

Nothing on the ss motors are different. Impalla ss motors are but it's not for the better.

Exact same motor. Only differences that have anything at all to do with power are the intake (not intake manifold) and the catback exhaust.
