Who loves their LT1 F-body
Ok guys...we all know there are plenty of cars out there more powerful than ours (stock for stock), but the lt1 is something special IMO anyway....no one else had a car that performed close to the lt1 f-body, back in its time so to speak.
I just want to hear all the proud lt1 owners speak up...my roommate owns a '06 civic si...and I get tired of hearing all the "honda makes better cars" crap. I mean, I dont know anything about GM's 4 cylinder motors or future plans...but I'd like to think GM (and American car manufacturers) can out-do import motors/cars... and discuss.

I love my car for the simple reason it looks cool as hell, nothing else looks like it so its unique.
I love the way it feels when I am behind the wheel driving it. Its like nothing else.
Its a sports car with 4 seats. Its not a glorified version of your moms car (civic si)
Oh and it has a v8 that sounds awesome!

i hate my car my when the gas gauge needle is pointing near the "E"zone, but other than that i like it. i like the LT1s earth shaking grunt off the line.
hondas are good daily drivers/gas mizers...that's about it.

Love my lt1, I recently got an infiniti g35 and love that car for driving everyday but nothing beats the roar and extreme torque of my lt1.
tell your roommate hondas suck. if you look at any good race car, including imports (minus F1 i guess) hondas are no good. nissan makes engines and the toyota 2jz are much better than any honda b16,b18, or k20. i've only seen one good honda in my area and it was a hatch with a b18 swap, huge turbo and nitrous. it held it's own with a viper from a roll. sick car

I loved my best friends Formula when we was young and first got our license and the later on got my Camaro and I love it! Every F-Body that goes by catches my eye anymore whether it looks great, looks like ****, sounds great or sounds like **** I love them all.

i <3 LT1's, that is crap about imports being more reliable too.thats coming from a ricer, im a subaru nut but reliability just doesnt go hand in hand with having a imported nameplate. take most BMW's and MB's, nothing reliable about them unless your insane about maintanence.GM motors run poorly longer than most motors run at all. hell, it took ford til 03 to get something that flat out destroys the lt1, even the 05+ stock for stock is a drivers race IMO (or the local 05+ drivers i know suck at driving)
if better means slow, then yes honda makes better cars. throw money into that equation if you race and its amazing how people loss confidence in there car's abilities.

I love my LT1 and wouldn't trade it for anything. It is a unique car with a place in the automotive industry all to it's own. It may not be the fastest car in the world, but it doesn't matter because today's fastest will be tomorrow's old news. Either way it's still fast for a street car.

i love cranking up my ol lt1 in the morning before work and hearing it run. i like how its still the old small block design with a modern twist, unlike the ls1 which is a completly different platform. it may not be the fastest thing around but it can hold its own against most things i throw at it.
