Electric waterpumps should be left to cars that see dragstrip time looking for that last.1 IMO most guys using them should not be due to the failure mode.
Underdrive pullies are good on cars with belt driven WPs, on an LT1 all you can hope for is a little longer accessory life on high rpm motors, so again a mistake for most cars.
MSD opti is LESS reliable than stock and it is wrong to install it without a keyed degreed damper and fabricated pointer so you can verify timing.

Why all this MSD Opti bashing I have had mine on my car for 8 months now and 13,200 miles not one hiccup, we have had one on our 96 Impala SS for over 40k miles now and tons of track time not one problem. So explain why it's "poop and sucks" I want reasons.

When I installed the asp 945103 pulley- balancer set and a CSI electric pump I noticed a huge difference in throttle response and it did seem quicker. It was the only time I didn't dyno before and after. As for the pump it's a CSI, I don't drive in rain or snow but, 4 years- 3mos., 26,000 miles and never a cooling issue. That pump was replaced on 9/30/07. It made noise 2 weeks before it started blowing fuses. Put my spare pump on in 30 minutes, had the old one repaired for 80.00(it"s new) life is good!

Sounds like you have a plan. Also do you have a auto? I suggest a good stall next. If you have a M6 then I would look into a rear end. Sucks to spend the money to go fast then the rear take a dump on you.
