Superchargers ATI vs. Vortech??
Hey everybody!
I have been reading this forum for a while and finally i've saved the dough and can build something worth talking about with you guys. I've got a 1996 firebird LT1. So far I pulled the motor,.30 over, forged Eagle crank, JE blower pistons 8.5-1,H beam rods, splayed end caps balanced & blueprinted etc. Now I am at the stage of which setup to use. More people use the ATI D1sc but I am leaning towards the T-trim Vortech setup. I am looking primarily pure power. Looks, reliability are all not huge factors for me. I just want speed! (who doesn't). Any input??

there was a buy back awhile ago who had a FS thread that laid down like 950 hp out of a vortech LT4 but it was absolutely ridiculous like 23+lbs of boost, so vortech has the potential, but ATI just has swept the market

Wow, ATI it is! So what are you guys running for heads? I had the stock ones worked over with larger valves and roller valve-train but i heard they don't flow well. Also what about ignition? Should I leave my stock opti-spark ign sytem and just get a mail order tune for my ECM? Any reco's on a mail order tune?
