wanting to go with LE1 kit, but not sure what all is needed
Well, let me start off by telling you the specs of my car, just got it the past july, it's a 94 Z28 with SLP cold air intake, Hooker exhaust, and pace setter headers. The tact just hit 90 thousand miles, but overally mechanically I would say it's been very well taken care of and the previous owner replaced a few thing such as the fuel pump, water, spark plugs, opti, etc before it was sold. I also have a seperate intake ported to accept a 58 mm throttle body that I haven't installed yet. I just got a 2400 dollar refund check from my school so I was looking at a LE1 porting job from Lloyd Elliot, but I'm not really sure what's required/ needed when all is said and done. I would love to do the labor part myself, but living in a college dorm that really isn't feasable because I have nowhere to work on it, and I don't have the proper tool to do it. That and I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to ripping down LT1's especially and I really don't want to screw up my new vehicle. So... this leads to question if that 2400 bucks will be able to cover everything needed before I go in over my head.

Parts you will most likely need. Or "want to replace" while it's out and open.
Lifters
Roller rockers
Pushrods
New Springs
Guide plates
Timing Chain
Cam
The port job of course
Tune
Possibly Injectors depending on cam
It adds up alot quicker than you expect (i'm in the process right now)
Good luck
oh and labor costs expect anywhere between 1200-2000 depending on area and who you know (you may have a friend that could help out alot and store car at his place or something)
This is all for a cam and heads installed.

YEA BUT HE IS DECENTLY CLOSE IF THAT COMES WITH THE HEADS CAM AND NEW SPRINGS. ALL HE NEEDS IS INSTALL AND MAYBE 1.6RR'S AND SOME PUSHRODS AND LIFTERS IF NECESARY SO IF ANYTHING HE MIGHT BE 200-300 SHORT WHICH REALLY ISNT TOO BAD.

I might be going solid roller so I am debating on selling my LE1 heads. I made 403rwhp with these heads, LE ported intake, 306 cam, 58mm throttle body though a m6 and 9" rear end. I might also sell the ported intake, 306 cam, and the PCM that was tuned by Moe Bailey. But you will need 42lb injectors if you use this PCM since that is what he tuned it with. Plus my engine is a 355 so if yours is still a 350 I am not sure how much that will affect on whether or not the PCM will need to be retuned if you did decide to buy my PCM as well.

Everyone always forgets the gaskets, the fluids, the tune, the head bolts... If you want to do a H/C/I car, and dont have the means to do the labor yourself, your looking at a $5000 project.
Your much better off doing a 125 wet shot, tune and a stall if auto.
