Default Dart intake for single plane conversion?

It seems that the norm is generally a super Vic or Vic-E for this conversion. I was curious if anyone has any experience with this particular manifold and if there's any science to why it may or may not be competitive with either of the Vic pieces.

There are 2 versions, a standard single plane and the one they call "220". I'm figuring competitive with the Vic Jr and super Vic, some1 correct me if I'm wrong.

I recently saw a couple of dyno test comparing single planes and the Dart was prety close to the Vic, ofcourse I understand that every engine combo is different.

In the future, plans are a 385 w/LE ported Darts and a SR (if the LT1 doesn't end up in my S10 and the 6.0 in my building doesn't end up in the Camaro). I would prefer to have the Dart intake on the Dart heads if ultimately there will only be a few hp between the competitors. I know, call me ****, I'm funny like that, sorry!

Also, who can prep the single for LT1 usage. I can prolly cut the crossover and have metal welded in and sand blast it, who will do the rest, injector bungs, fuel rail brackets, bolt holes, etc, etc?

Thanks,
James

I had a local machine shop tap my heads for the vortec bolt pattern of the Vic-e. Question though, why would you have to cut out the crossover? Are you talking about the water neck crossover?

I think I was thinking of putting just a block off plate on mine...although cutting it and welding it up would be a cleaner look.

Yeah, I'm pretty ****. I like things to look like they were designed specifically for the LT1

I do not think Dart makes an injection intake...will have to have inj bungs added (more $$). Sure it can be done but the dollar to do so might turn you a diff direction. Ive got about $950 tied up in my setup and its ready to bolt on, elbow inlcuded, all port matched, converted, etc.

Just lack the hose to plumb the rails with.
