Default 93 lt1 trans am vs any other lt1 f body what differences or problems

I know they are speed density cars and not maf and they have a non vented opti. I also remember hearing that they have 700r4s and not 4l60's are their any other differences or unique problems? can they be converted to maf easily? all help is apreciated looking into one for a buddy and what to check my basis before I assume its like any other lt1 f body

First Vented Opti F-Bodies were in 95 (or was it 95 for B-Body and 96 for F?), 93s were 4L60 (updated 700R4) but not 4L60E like the 94-02 autos, lots of differences and there are MANY threads that list them all (just use the search). Can't convert to MAF while using the ECM, but if you swap over to a 94 wiring harness and PCM you can, keep in mind you'll want an M6 PCM or have the A4 PCM tuned to work with the 4L60.

Just have him get a 94 or 95. Easier in the long run.

BTW, it's bases, not basis

Knowing what I know now and had my car not been such a great deal I wouldn't get another 93 car to build up. If it was just to drive around and it was cheap I would.

I have a '94 Trans am. I believe that was the only year they had the Trans Am GT option and it was also the 35th anniversary of the trans am and a white trans am with blue stripes was the anniversary car. The car is a great ride and for that price it can not be beat.

this is what I am thinking also I think with my master negotiating skills( o yeah I wish I was that good) I can get him down even more. I know I have loved all 4 of my fbody's and hoping I can get another friend or 2 hooked in the fbody world as well. I have already converted 3 ex gf's and one of them was originaly a mustang girl that now owns a 2002 red v6 firebird

the 93 and the 94 are more similar to eachother than the 95 +, but i bet exact parts are easier to find for the later years...(not always though). you already converted 3 ex gfs over to the dark side with your "master negotiation skills" or some other master part of you so I am sure you can get your friend a great deal.
