Default Aluminum Flywheel + 100 shot?

I need to either turn my stocker or get a new flywheel and I have been looking into the aluminum flywheels but I am spraying a 100 shot maybe 150 eventually. Should I stay away from aluminum and stick with the steel?

Typically an aluminum flywheel will let the engine rev quicker but takes a little of the low end bite out of the car . I would not see using a flywheel like that with nitrous as being a bad thing at the track .

I am mainly worried about it holding up to the nitrous shot. It wont tear up the aluminum will it? I know there are steel inserts but is that enough for spraying on?

I am not an "expert" on the matter but I would think the aluminum flywheel should hold up fine .

Default Flywheel

I am pretty sure that an aluminum flywheel would be fine for your aplication, however I have seen some ring gears come off and flywheels warp etc. This is not a common problem with aluminum, but it is a problem. If you are concerned about this, we offer forged steel flywheels that are light weight and will serve the same purpose and are SFI certified.
