Default Fluid Questions

Hey I bought some tranny fluid. I just got dexron III equivalent fluid. It says that it's automatic tranny fluid though, does it matter? Its for a manual transmission by the way.

What do you mean Dex III "equivalent"? Just trying to get clarification before I say yes or no. No point in risking a tranny for a @ $3 or $4 savings on fluid is what I am getting at....

And yes, our standard transmissions take automatic trans fluid...

While you probaly would not have any problems with that brand, I personally would not use it. But, keep in mind that is just me, and not a "factual" answer, just my personal preference is all.
