Default Tranny Mount

I've done lots of reading and can't put my finger on my problem so Ill use my terms. My stock shifter is jumping up thru the console a good 2-3 inches when I gas it. I'm getting clunks and contact vibrations as well. Does this sound like the tranny mount to anybody. ?

Most likely the tranny mount. Could also be the torque arm clam came loose or broke, but I'd check the tranny mount first. They break fairly easily.

Tranny Mount. If the Torque Arm came loose the Tranny wouldn't be jumping.

How are your motor mounts while your at it... If they are bad enough, the motor will torque over and help twist the trans around.

Motor mounts are stock, 115K...Motors 1 year old, Cam, Headers, etc....their probly not helping any either. Ill have somebody replace them cause I aint jacking with the headers, I hear they suck to replace. Sry, I havent had time to replace the tranny mount, but what you guys are saying makes since. Thanks again. I update the outcome.

The tranny mount was ripped in half.....That Vibration and jump is gone with the new one. I still have more contact somewhere though. Vibration under load Thanks for the input.

Motor mounts really aren't that bad, though it depends somewhat on the header design. I'd say you could do it in about 4 hours. Generally a lot easier with the headers than the stock manifolds.
