This is the first time of done this. Ive got a T56 from a 98 Camaro Z28. I Put on a Spec 3 Clutch.
When putting the Transmission up to the motor. The Slave Cylinder runs into the things that the slave cylinder pushes on to disengage the clutch. Is this normal? Thanks for any help

make sure the splines on the input shaft are engaging properly. the slave cyl should compress rather easily if the bleeder is open.
sometimes if the disc isnt in perfect alignment (because most align tools are plastic and let the disc sit a little to low) the input shaft wont be in alignment with the disc and pilot bearing and it wont go together.
i had to readjust my disc by holding the align tool up a little as i tightened the pressure plate.
