Default Hard getting into reverse after a tranny and clutch swap

Working on a 2002 WS6 M6. I got a tranny and clutch from a buddy to put in my car. I know for a fact that the tranny and clutch worked fine in his car. I installed it into my car, bled it and took it for a ride. 1st through 6th is perfect, like butter. But getting into reverse takes A LOT of forse and two hands. Any ideas.

Thanks Gents,

Is the reverse solenoid working? Do you have an adjustable master?

well the day we pulled the tranny and clutch from my buddy's car it all worked fine. I install everything in my car and dang, no reverse. Its even hard to get with the car off, which is VERY weird..

Id check that solenoid first, take the shifter off and verify that the solenoid is not out. If its not working properly it would be probably very hard to get into reverse. If it is OK, then its probably a master problem, did you shim the slave at all? You may want to check out the thread below.

Are you sure the clutch isn't dragging? Mine was a bitch to get into reverse when I first installed my clutch and ended up having to move my pedal out further (Tick MC).
