Default Hurst Comp Plus Shifters On Ebay?

Can anyone tell me if these are a good shifter? I was looking for a billet plus but then ran across this the price is good and it should look good but I just wanna make sure there good shifters. The seller claims the comp plus is just as good as the billet plus. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

It's a no-stops Hurst, just like the OEM option Hurst. The aftermarket one simply had the base stick straight up; the OEM was bent drivers-side.

So is the comp plus the same shifter as an oem hurst? Is the billet worth the extra cash?

yes, every thing about the shifter is different. get a billet plus with a 6" short stick, and you wont regret it!

I bought one of those shifters from ebay seller zchris. The ones he sells with the angled stub are OEM Hurst shifter bases. I really like mine, I use one of his black short shifters also. I have bought a few things from him and found him to be a great ebayer.

I ended up buying a brand new billet plus for 120 off ebay.

Thumbs up

Dam $120 is a steal on that shifter! You did really good on that deal, and I know you'll like that shifter a lot.
The other one on ebay for $139 is nothing but a stock SS/WS6 shifter base with a chrome handle and round ****. You can normally pick up that shifter for $50-60 used and a handle is only $20-25. Be glad you didn't get that one. Don't get me wrong, its a good shifter, but not anything like the billet plus

Looks like the same stick that comes with the Hurst that you bought. I went to the link in the ebay auction http://www.jegs.com/i/Hurst/530/391-...0002/-1?CT=999
It may just appear to be longer in the un-installed picture. If it ends up being longer than you want, its not that hard to modify it to make it shorter.
