Default t56 popping out of all 6 gears under anything but very light load

This started happening just today, nothing changed over the last couple days to signify something on its way out. The trans will shift into gear smooth as ever, but if I ever get on the throttle it "pops" out of gear, but doesn't actually go to neutral. The shifter doesn't move much, if at all, it just sits in the same spot as if it was in gear and grinds.

At first I thought I might have somehow messed up installing my MGW short throw, even though its been working perfectly for the last two weeks, but I threw the stock shifter back on there and it behaved exactly the same. The fact that its all 6 gears makes me think it's a clutch issue, but I'm not sure. I doubt I killed all 6 synchros (i wouldn't think its synchros anyway since it still goes in all gears perfectly fine) or all three shift forks. Stock clutch as far as I know BTW, never looked and the previous owner didn't say.

Any ideas?

May have a Bearing in the front that is wore out and it's causing excessive play on the Input & Mainshaft. Or the Shifter Cup is wore out and it's not engaging the Gears fully.

I didn't even think about the shifter cup. Any way to visibly tell if it's screwed up?

It'll look cracked..pieces missing. The plastic ones are junk, get the Bronze one.

shifter cup looks fine. Is there any way being low on transmission fluid could affect staying in gear? I don't think so, and I'm pretty sure I'm fine on fluid, I'm just thinking of things I can check before taking it to a shop (I'm at my parents house and don't have the tools to do anything myself unfortunately).

I was supposed to move to texas tomorrow, wish I woulda moved last week so I could drop the car off at TDP haha.

If it ever got low on fluid it burned up all the fork bushings and maybe the forks as well.

It may possibly be the fork pads..but to lose all of then at once is unlikely..

Yeah, the fact that it started affecting all gears at once is the most annoying part. Would make sense that it is one part that affects all gears, which plays into your guess that it could be a bearing screwing up input/main shaft play.

if there is an aftermarket shifter on the trans, make sure the stops are adjusted properly.
