Default input shaft specs?

My Pilot bushing was toast and nobbed up the end of my input shaft.. i measured the O.D. of the input shaft (the part that goes into the pilot bushing) and i get 14.66" on my dial caliper anyone know what the accepted clearances are for the input shaft before it needs replacing? does anyone know what the O.D. measurement is no a brand new T56 input shaft?

I assume you measure is in mm not inch , like you marked it.
A new pilot is 14.985 / 14.970.

hahaha yeah sorry about that i meant mm not inch, that would be one big pilot bearing and input shaft if it was inch. do you know what the accepted wear is on the input shaft before it is recommended to be replaced.

Yep. Re-tip or replace.

Is it a bushing or bearing in the crank? Anyway replace that. To sleeve an input pilot takes some care. If you don't know how they do it, get a replacement input. The cost will be close , if done right , and it will still be a reworked part.
