Another Jason advocate here. I've dealt with him a few times. I would recommend him to anyone.

I got a built trans from Jason back in December. 1 week turn around time and I'm in Georgia. I got the stage 2 rebuild with a triple cone conversion. Its super smooth with the LS7 clutch.

Another satisfied customer here. Those guys build a mean T56 for sure. I've been beating on my trans pretty mercilessly for nearly a year now, with absolutely zero issues. When the time comes to get it rebuilt, they are the only ones that will get my business. I refer them often to the six speed guys in my area.

Jason is top notch, he doesnt try to sell you BS, you tell him what you want and what your goals are he'll tell you his opinion. He personally called me when he got my trans and told me what was wrong with it, who does that?? nobody lol Texasdrivetrain FTW. Ill post up how the install goes and how the tranny holds 800rwhp lol

Just got my trans back from Jason at TDP a week ago. Something tells me he's a pretty honest guy. I called the day after they received the trans and he said upon opening it up it will probably need x/y/z gears but will have to really look at it and call me back. The next day he called and said it wasn't as bad as it originally looked and was going to be a little cheaper than the original estimate. He could have just charged me for everything, I would have never known being a thousand miles away and not able to see the trans opened.

As far as the actual trans goes, so far so good. I only put a few miles on it since I finally got it installed last night but everything feels great as of today!

My trans is currently sitting at TDP Jason called me personally after it was received after his shop was supposed to be closed thry were still there working. He let me know what was up and the cost. He seems like a very standup guy much better then the last place i dealt with. I choose TDP because of this thread over a local shop that did my buddies trans. I'm happy with my decision and would do it again if given the option. Can't wait to get the transmission back and drive my car again. It's been sitting for 6 months.

I am lucky enough to live close to TDP in Saginaw so I dropped off my trans about 6 months ago for a stage 2 rebuild. He had it done in three days. I wasn't in any hurry because I was putting 4.10 gears at the same time.

In fact when I picked it up Jason had Fabian press off and on some carrier bearings for me for giggles. I appreciated that.

Good guy.

got my TDP built F-fody T56 with C5 internals on Tuesday. Installed it Wednesday, and "test drove" it at Road America this weekend. Combined with ACT light flywheel and Spec 2+ clutch / light pressure plate, it performed flawlessly.

Only complaint: no "go fast" sticker. Jason, you need to advertise, bro.

Now, it's time to get a new master cylinder. The mid-level master I put in is leaking already. Of course, it's buried...

I second that. Jason has been slammed for the last few months.

I emailed Jason last week about a new clutch kit. He responded with a recommendation and his phone number. Today, I happened to take a day off work, and though he didn't answer his phone I went down to his shop (~20 mins away). I waited and chatted with his employees for an hour or so for him to get back from a parts run. When he got back, he spent a half hour talking to me about getting a new clutch, giving advice, and then that he has been totally slammed for months and also didn't have any low-weight flywheels at the moment. I ended up getting a stage 3 diamond disc and pressure plate from him along with a few small extras for a discount since he didn't have any flywheels. Jason is a great guy, and down the road when I rebuild my transmission, I will go straight to him and get on his waiting list if I have to.

He's building a t56 for me to put in my 92 Chevy 1/2 ton tpi pickup. Very straight forward guy. Been trying to find the mid shifter setup for over a week cause everyone has them back ordered, but said should be done this week. Hope to pick it up Saturday. Can't wait.

I have seen a stage 2 trans they did last around 1000 maybe 1500 easy miles not even been to the track. 1-2 syncros went out at the least. The same trans has been at tdp for 3 weeks waiting on parts.

Let me know whose trans this belongs to, I'll check and see what what the actual diagnosis of it was. There are two sides to a story.

The customers name is Justin he is out of Richmond Va.
From what I understand the trans is on its way back from tdp and are honoring the 12 month warranty.
Side two?
