How much did you improve NA with the faceplated trans?

Probably nothing... since I could drive a synchro'd tranny pretty well. Same basic combo back in '07 with a different T56 went 10.90's on 7-7.5 cylinders but with a better 60'.

This exact same setup (with the auto and 3.50's) normally went 10.75-11.00 depending on the weather. I'm confident I'll be right there once I get my 60' down in the low 1.50's.

I know #1 on the list has a faceplated trans, but what about the other 8 second cars? Are any of them using a synchro trans?

That is the same outcome I had with my faceplated trans. But I never missed a gear after installing the faceplated trans. So that was a big plus.

#1, #2 and #5 are faceplated for sure. I am not sure about Tanner. I know jaredz28 is synchronized for sure.

I'd like to know what the GM six speed record is for an IRS rear end car. From what I can tell I might have the record with this 9.17 pass.

The transmission is a Tr-6060 worked over by RPM with an aluminum 5.3L LC9 block and Twin 6266 turbos running around 22 psi. This was a test day and I know she has a lot more left in it. Mcleod Original Street Twin disk clutch

60 - 1.407
330 - 3.901
1/8 - 5.979
1000 - 7.731
1/4 - 9.172
@ 158 mph

The record is 8.82@161 for an IRS GM car. Garth Wiever holds the overall IRS T56/TR6060 record with a 7.98@183mph.

Great pass in the IS300! That thing is going to fly with some more seat time.

Man you really got that thing coming along! You jumped in front of me with that pass. Once you get that 60ft down you will be in the 9s before you know it!

Damn that is fast! Any videos? I did some searching and would love to see that pass. EDIT found it the red viper...

I feel like the lexus can run some mid 8's after some more tweaking and seat time. Thanks!

maybe so. 10.00 is all i'm good for safety wise. much faster and it's gonna start getting REAL expensive.

Yeah, but how nice would it be to throw down a 9 second pass just to say you did it. By the way, happy birthday.

a glory pass wouldn't be out of the question, lol. but in the event that happens, i'll frame the time slip, pull some timing, turn the shift points back down, and enjoy a long lasting drivetrain (hopefully, lol!)

thanks for the birthday wishes

i noticed my time was updated, but my position on the list didn't move. i need to be moved up 1 place after our last outing next month, i'm hoping that i will be very near the top of the 10 second section.
