Default T56 conversion questions.

Ok I have most if not all the parts I need to make my conversion from lt1 to ls1.

1. new ls1 tremec input shaft.
2. bellhousing
3. front plate

I just built a ls 408 stoker and need to hook up my tranny. what do i have to shim? what are the adjustments I have to make?

How far does my pilot bearing have to be hammered in the crank? I really don't know much about these transmissions.

thanks.

Firt off make sure you have the correct pilot bearing... The ls1 style which is the one you need is only about 1" in dia while the one for the tr6060 and ls3 is a large sealed bearing. Anyway if you look at the back of the crank you will see it has a large hollow opening, then further into the crank you will see and other small hole this is where the ls1 pilot bearing sits just tap it in with a socket until its fully seated like this.
