Default Gear puller for t-56 rebuild

Hey so I am following this guide:

http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...uild-with-pics!

And the author mentions that he made a gear puller to get the 5-6 gear out of the transmission.

Is there anywhere I could buy this pre-made? Or borrow one or something? I tried to make one myself but it didn't end well, The puller I tried to modify is too small to start with. I might try buying a bigger puller but I'd rather just buy one that I know 100% will work for what I am trying to do. Can anybody point in in the right direction?

Cheers

You need a Kent-Moore J39431, some threaded rod and a bridge puller.

So I was looking online for Kent-Moore J39431, but it is really expensive. Is there any way I could get something that does the same thing for cheaper?

I copied the guys harbor freight puller in your link and easily pulled 5th gear today. Here is the HF puller you need, http://t.harborfreight.com/8-in-thre...ler-69224.html and I bought two 48" pieces of 3/4"X1/8" flat bar ($10) at Tractor Supply and cut six, 12.5" pieces and drilled holes 12" apart.

I use that same setup. Works great!
