Default reverse?

Is everyone's reverse a "little" hard to put into? And no, I don't mean reverse lockout. Just all gears easy to go into, but reverse a little tougher than others. Is this normal?

When I get into my car first thing in the morning I usually have to put it in first then reverse, but it goes right in the rest of the day.

My old 3rd gen's T5 did that, I had to go into a forward gear before I could go into reverse, otherwise it would grind. Even then, it was hard to get it into reverse

My T56 hasn't done that to me yet, but it only has about 30k miles on it. But if I do recall, I beleive reverse has a little bit more "resistance" than the forward gears, but it's not hard to get in

exactly. NO grinding when going into reverse just a little "harder"

Reverseis synchronized but it has a brass alloy blocker ring ( instead of paper or carbon composite lining) which may explain the higher effort.

So is that normal? I'm PRETTY SURE my clutch disengages all the way, because when I have all 4 wheels on ramps, hold clutch in, tires DO NOT move.
