Default is it possible

on a '97 Formula for a slave leak to cause a clutch to go bad?

highly unlikly

you have an lt1 the hydraulics use a clutch fork with a external mounted slave so it would lead no where near the clutch disc

Well if it leaks and the clutch does not fully release , it would damage the trans/ make shifting difficult but I don't see it damaging the clutch itself.
