Default Skip Shift

Alright i'm new to this whole thing and i've been dragging my 00' WS6. I really don't know what is going on but every now and than i cannot shift it into second gear or third. it only goes into fourth. Is this the skip shift that i've heared about? Trying to learn as much as possible and want to continue to race it . No mods done to it besides the SLP Loudmouth exhaust. Any ideas? thanks

Either your hydraulics are going bad and not doing the job when you rev the car up high. I would get updated hydraulics like the 01-02 cars (Master and Slave). Get yourself a better shifter (Pro 5.0 or B&M) The hurst skip shift elim is really cheap and will get rid of the lock out. If not get someone with a edit program to turn it off.

Yeah that sounds like the skip shift feature. It kicks in between 1800 and 2500 RPM in 1st gear I think.

Yea but i'm not shifting until about 5-5500 rpm. So i thought that in the lower RPM that i'd do the skip shift not when i'm dragging. I could be wrong but i have no clue like i said i'm a newbie. I love it so far but i want to beat my friend's Mustang and the best i've gotten it is a 13.822@103.2mph. Is that bad?

Exactly. Get a better shifter. Sounds like your going into lala land with the stock crap shifter.

This is really not power mods. They only thing you can do is get a new nice clutch with the light flywheel. If you want more power get a cam. Do a search. You will find a TON of info.
