A4 to M6 swap? Computer reflash?

A4 to M6 swap? Computer reflash?
How much does that usually run you guys or can i just buy a M6 computer and toss that sucker in? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

You can buy an M6 computer but it is not necessary. If you have a hookup at a dealer then they could do it for you. I have heard most dealers won't do this though. Your best bet is to find a local shop or just another owner with hptuners for the same year and get them to flash in an M6 file.

We did a A4 to M6 conversion on a 98 a few yrs ago. We got a new PCM and had a Dealer with a tech II flash in the program of a M6 car we knew (it requieres a M6 VIN to be entered) Also the PCM conector required a few wires to be repinned to new holes( tool required)
Also if your area uses a ODB II inspection this can cause a problem as the PCM vin will not match the one on the car and reg. This causes an instant fail and reg cancilation in Mass.
