Forgot pilot bushing

Red face Forgot pilot bushing

Installing a rebuilt 350 into a chevy 4x4 ,all back together.Exept the pilot bushing.Can it be drivin without one.or not.I guess tranny has to be dropped to install.ok I can feel the roar of laughter ,

It can be driven but you won't like the noise and will probably damage the tranny shaft and the crank. Oh yeah.....

4 speed manual?

if its a manual i would not drive it with out the bushing, its there for a reason

Not using the pilot bushing/ bearing will damage the internal"pocket" bearing in your trans - rather quickly too.

I dropped the trany and installed the bushing,before anyone drove the truck.Thanks for the warning.
