Default Damage from WOT 3rd back to 2nd...PICS

Gallery

I was at WOT and went from the top of third back into 2nd. Broke the bellhousing, disc and pressure plate. The mating surface on the pressure plate is about 1 inch off centered.

My new Mcleod clutch and bellhousing will be here sometime this week.

did the same with a stock clutch setup. Didn't do all that, but it wasn't pretty.

So far everything looks and runs ok. I pulled the PR's and they were all straight, so my next thought was a valve. Before I went as far as pulling the heads I thought I would put a straight edge on the valve stems. They all were the same height, so that got me looking in other places. Got under the car and saw the crack on the bellhousing and went from there. I should have everything by the middle of the week and all back together this weekend. I guess I will know then.

damn you would think the valves hit and stopped the motor for a sec causing it to twist the bell housing. DAMN!!!!

All that dammage could have come from a burst clutch( overspeed but not engaged to the engine). Those should be happy feetses as they could have clutch part visitors through the floor.
