Hey guys I have aquired a LS1 T56 and I have a couple questions. First what is the black hose on top on the tranny? Seems for some reason the previous owner cut it to the metal neck! Where can I get a replacment? #2 where can I get the speed-O thing that goes in a 1 inch hole by the shifter? Thanks!!

its the vent tube. i don't think is big deal, just don't block the hole. if you want get new one, dealer will have one for sure or try d&d or any tranny shop

Just buy a peice of vacuum hose and put a plastic breather on it ( I don't know what it is called but it doesn't allow air/contaminates in but will aloww for the air in the transmission to escape as it expands with heat.
