Which Clutch

I am looking to upgrade my clutch and aluminum flywheel I was looking at the SLP unit until I found out it is the same as a ZO6 is that true, because if it is I can get one like half price. Has anyone installe on of these , tell me what you think.

I am not going with a twin disc I herd bad thing about them. I just want to know if the Zo6 clutch will fit and if it is an upgrade even if just a small upgrade.

it most certainly is a valid upgrade to an F-bod clutch. how much I can't comment, but it does fit; many people have gone with the z06. I found a lot of positive reviews on that clutch when I was researching to find a product to fit my car a couple months ago, the only real negative being when people had radically modified setups and needed more holding power. For the mods you have listed you should be just fine. Some people here might also tell you to go with the Texrailia clutch. There's been a lot of good pub around here on those lately. If you plan on adding a *lot* more power in the future though, you might be wise to start crawling through some previous threads/ask around as the z06 may not be enough.

thanks if I get that clutch will a Fidanza clutch for ls1 be the same or is it bigger

by zo6..do you mean ls6 clutch or the ls7?

i've been reading some threads that it may be possible to bolt up a ls7 clutch to a ls1...whihc would be a huge improvement considering the ls7 clutch holds 505hp at the flywheel stock.

if your plannin on doin any mods regardless of what they are you should upgrade your clutch with that power in mind. zo6 clutch is a good stock replacement but it will in no way hold the power of a car thats modded.
the fore mentioned Textralia clutch is the closest to a stock feeling clutch you can get...i have it and i can tell you for a fact that it feels no differant than my stock clutch felt. i have the stock master and the slave they provide for you. i have numerous track passes on this thing and it holds like a *****!!! it is a bit pricey but its well worth the investment in my opinion and im sure you'll hear the same from other owners of this clutch...goodluck.
