Car won't start after Master cyl. install...help!
My car won't start after Master cyl. install.
I turn the key to the on position and all the lights go on, but when I crank it everything shuts off as if I just unplugged the battery.
I checked the wiring harness under the dash and everything looks okay. I pulled the starter and igition fuses and they looked ok. Any ideas?

Yeah, it's the clutch sensor. If it malfunctions, the car doesn't think that the clutch it depressed to allow starting. Glad you found the problem. Mine actually went bad on me, and had to get it replaced. At first I thought it was the Anti-theft junk acting up, or the chip in my key was shot. But, it was indeed the clutch sensor.

yeah...those clutch sensors seem to be quite touchy. I never even unplugged them. To get it to work again all I did was just fiddle with the wires a bit.
It's wierd that everything shut off just because of those sensors. I don't even know which one was causing the problem.

If I'm not mistaken, the top one of for Cruise control, and the lower one is for the safety start.
