Default Fly Wheel Dowel Pins?

How important are these?
There is no spot for them on my RAM PP for them so I thought they didn't really add any strength to the clutch/disk/flywheel combo...
BUT,
I talked to a Centerforce Tech and I asked him about those dowel pins and he said they were very important for their Dual Friction clutch sets in helping with the shear strength of the whole clutch assembly.

How accurate is this since RAM designed there PP like that?

Easier... tell me about it. It was such a pain getting the RAM on without those dowel pins.
